As a UI/UX designer and front-end developer, I had the privilege of being assigned to develop a booking engine module for the Cobone consumer and merchant websites. The challenge was to design a module that could cater to a vast array of consumer requirements, and we were given three months to develop and implement it.
I started by researching various websites that had implemented a similar booking module. My research helped me gain a deep understanding of the users' needs, behaviors, and expectations while booking a time and slot. I identified the critical components and functions that our booking engine module should have.
My primary focus was to make the user interface and experience simple, user-friendly, and attractive. To achieve this, we incorporated various UI/UX best practices, such as the use of color, contrast, and typography. The design was made consistent with the rest of the website, thus maintaining brand consistency.
I also incorporated several front-end development techniques, such as using JS libraries, the SASS framework, and developing an easy-to-navigate user interface, to achieve seamless functionality and an immersive experience for the users.
After development, I implemented the booking engine module and subjected it to extensive testing. The testing phase helped me detect any errors, improve performance, and iron out any glitches that arose during the development process.
The implementation of the booking engine module helped improve the user experience of the Cobone consumer and merchant websites, as it provided consumers with an easy-to-use booking platform. The module also streamlined the booking process, saving time and effort for users.
As a UI/UX designer and front-end developer, it was a privilege to be involved in the development of the booking engine module for the Cobone consumer and merchant websites. We achieved the objectives we set out to accomplish and provided an excellent experience for Cobone's customers, contributing to the company's growth and success.
