The Canada Business Egypt Council (CBEC) is a non-profit organization that promotes trade and investment between Canada and Egypt. The organization's website is a key tool for connecting Canadian and Egyptian businesses, and it needed to be updated to reflect the organization's growth and new initiatives.
The CBEC's old website was outdated and difficult to use. It was built on a custom platform that was no longer supported, and it was difficult to add new content or make changes to the design. The organization needed a new website that was modern, user-friendly, and easy to manage.
I was hired as a freelancer to design and develop a new website for the CBEC. I started by conducting a user survey to understand the needs of the organization's target audience. I then created a design brief that outlined the project's goals and requirements.
I used WordPress to build the new website. WordPress is a popular content management system that is easy to use and maintain. I customized the WordPress theme to create a unique design that reflected the CBEC's brand identity. I also developed custom plugins to add new features to the website, such as a contact form and a blog.
I trained the CBEC's staff on how to use the new website. I also provided support for the website after it was launched. The new website has been well received by the CBEC's members and partners. The website is more modern and user-friendly than the old website, and it is easier to add new content and make changes to the design. The website has also helped increase the CBEC's visibility online.
I am proud of the work I did on the CBEC's new website. The website is a valuable resource for the organization's members and partners, and it has helped to promote trade and investment between Canada and Egypt. I am confident that the website will continue to be a valuable asset to the CBEC for many years to come.
