Discover how Cobone integrated ADCB TouchPoints and Tap Payments across web and mobile apps to simplify checkout and offer flexible payments in the UAE.
Making Everyday Rewards More Useful
Everyone loves a good deal, but being able to pay for it using loyalty points makes the experience even better.
At Cobone, we wanted to give UAE customers more flexibility at checkout by integrating ADCB TouchPoints with Tap Payments across the website and mobile applications.
The idea was simple: let customers redeem their accumulated ADCB TouchPoints to pay for Cobone offers, either partially or in full, without making the checkout process complicated.

A great payment experience isn’t just about completing a transaction; it’s about giving customers the freedom to choose how they pay.
The Challenge: Connecting Rewards with Checkout
Cobone already offered customers access to discounted dining, entertainment, travel, wellness and lifestyle experiences.
The challenge was introducing a loyalty-based payment option into an existing ecommerce checkout while keeping the experience familiar, reliable and easy to understand.
We needed to address several important areas:
- Integrating ADCB TouchPoints redemption with the existing payment experience.
- Supporting both partial and full payments using TouchPoints.
- Allowing customers to combine TouchPoints with other available payment methods.
- Presenting available points, redemption values and payment details clearly.
- Maintaining a consistent experience across web and mobile applications.
- The Solution: Flexible Payments, Simpler Experience
Working with the team at ME Digital Group, I led the project and contributed hands-on web development to bring the integration into Cobone’s checkout journey.
We focused on making TouchPoints redemption feel like a natural part of the payment process rather than a separate or confusing feature.
The solution brought together ADCB TouchPoints redemption and Tap payment integration, allowing customers to choose how they wanted to complete eligible purchases.
From a UI/UX perspective, the priority was clarity. Customers needed to understand their available rewards, how those rewards affected the payable amount, and which payment options were available.
The implementation also required coordination across application development, payment integration, interface updates and quality assurance to support a consistent customer journey.
The Outcome: More Choice at Checkout
The integration introduced two key redemption options: paying fully with ADCB TouchPoints or using them toward a partial payment.
It extended the payment experience across Cobone’s website and mobile apps, giving UAE customers another way to use their rewards.
While transaction volumes, conversion improvements and redemption rates were not provided for this case study, these remain valuable measures for evaluating the integration’s long-term business impact.
The real value of loyalty points begins when customers can use them easily for something they genuinely enjoy.
